I know that I keep banging on about the fact that only around 50 percent of titles, in te Kindle Store have text to speech enabled, however here is a thread, from the Amazon Kindle Forum which prvides an excellent flavour of the discussion surrounding this matter. I would draw your particular attention to the posts, by a practicing barrister in which he states his belief that Amazon and/orthe publishing industry are breaking the law (the Equality Act) by refusing to enable the text to speech facility on all titles.
