On 18 March I lost my old friend Drew, my beloved guide dog who had been my faithful companion since June 2005, (for my previous posts on Drew please see http://kevin-morris.co.uk/2011/03/26/the-return-of-drew/). I was delighted to see today that my memorial to Drew has now appeared on the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association’s website (please see http://www.dearestpets.com/partners/guidedogs/html/detail.php?id=153). Nothing can bring back my old friend but it was lovely to see Drew’s name, with her own unique webpage on the GDBA’s site. The bond between a dog and their owner is so very special. It is impossible to put into words the profound affection which develops between man’s best friend and their owner. All I can say is that it is something very special and that I was privileged to have such a loveable and beautiful dog.
